Andrew Gilbert joined the Dallas City Attorney's office in 2008. His practice focuses on civil litigation on behalf of the City against property owners who are not maintaining their properties in compliance with minimum standards, with Fair Housing laws, with zoning or other ordinances.  Mr. Gilbert also represents City departments in proceedings before the City’s boards and commissions. Finally, Mr. Gilbert also files lawsuits seeking the demolition of dilapidated and substandard vacant structures in the City of Dallas.

Prior Experience   

  • Prior to joining the City Attorney’s Office, Mr. Gilbert focused his practice on litigation involving aviation, transportation, construction, insurance, product defects, and other commercial disputes.
