Laura Morrison joined the Dallas City Attorney's office in 2008. Her practice focuses on ordinance drafting and advising city departments and boards on zoning, historic preservation, neighborhood conservation, annexation, code amendments, platting, sustainable development, alcohol regulations, thoroughfares, and other land use matters. Ms. Morrison currently serves as counsel for the Zoning Ordinance Committee and the Building Inspection Advisory Examining and Appeals Board.  She has previously served as counsel for the City Plan Commission, the Landmark Commission, and the Board of Adjustment.
